Team Taiko is joining the San Pedro Holiday Parade.
Learn how to taiko in a parade, we will practice how to wear the drum and march while playing.
The Parade Class will be held on Monday, November 25 from 7-8 PM.
The Parade performance will be on Sunday, December 1, from 1-3 PM.
If you would like to drum in the parade please be sure to select your shirt size when you register. We ask that you pay $5-35 to help cover the cost of materials.
If you would just like to attend the class to learn these taiko techniques please select the Class Only option.
Team Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities, from beginners to seasoned musicians. Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up, children must either participate with a guardian or have a participation waiver signed before class.
Classes are offered in person and streamed live via Zoom to allow for all to participate.
About Class Fees & Sliding Scale:
This event is designed to be $25 per person, but we don’t want economic circumstances to be a barrier to attending so we offer tickets on a sliding scale. Pay the price that works for you. Your class experience will be the same regardless of which option you choose.
To Attend In Person:
- Please bring water and wear comfortable clothes. Taiko is a full-body practice
- Drums and drumsticks (bachi) will be provided for you.
