Adopt a Seat!
Love the Lobby Restoration Campaign
Help Grand Vision restore the art deco ceiling and wall paintings in the main lobby of the Warner Grand Theatre and throughout the theater. When you adopt a seat, you’ll receive a brass plaque inscribed with the name of your choice. It’s a great way to be a part of the Theatre or remember a loved one.
The Warner Grand Theatre is an Art Deco masterpiece. The main auditorium and mezzanine lobby endure as stunning examples of early 20th Century movie palace design. The main lobby, on the other hand, needs love.
In the 1970s, the main lobby’s painted ceiling and wall designs were covered in off-white paint. Grand Vision hired LeGrande Studios, a paint restoration company, to advise on the project, and in 2019, LeGrand revealed several sections of original paint on the lobby’s ceiling.
We examined the ceiling’s condition and sought bids for its restoration, estimated at $350,000. With the help of our community, we are halfway to this goal. You can join the Love the Lobby campaign by adopting a seat in the Theatre!
The goal is to restore the Warner Grand Theatre’s main lobby and recapture its original grandeur. Visitors will once again experience the theater’s magic the minute they walk in the front doors!
“I adopted a seat for my best friend, Otto Schutt, the man that actually brought my wife and I together. Sara dedicated her seat to her loving father, Frank Tony Gasperov Jr., a longshoreman who had a love for the arts and for this space. We want Otto and Frank have a place in San Pedro history.”
