Yeeman “ManMan” Mui (they/them) is a taiko drumming artist known for their engaging performances that celebrate multisensory expression and inclusivity. As a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, ManMan transforms their experiences into impactful art.
In 2021, they directed the music production for the award-winning documentary Blurring the Color Line: Chinese in the Segregated South. Co-founding Mujō Dream Flight in 2022, ManMan collaborated with predominantly trans/non-binary taiko artists and toured with “Haimweh,” exploring themes of home and belonging.
As a co-creator of "Listening into Silence," a show reflecting their journeys with Situational Mutism, ManMan highlights diverse communication styles while incorporating interactive elements. In 2024, they will join Unit Souzou's "Constant State of Otherness," continuing to inspire audiences to embrace their authentic selves and explore the healing power of music and movement.
