Selina Leem from The Marshall Islands is a force to be reckoned with. Known throughout the climate activist community, she is a spoken word performer and one of the global faces of climate change activism. Her words shape the narrative of the Small Island Big Song concert.

Selina represented her country in the film ‘Before the Flood’ produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and was the youngest speaker at the COP21 for Paris Agreement, where she made a passionate plea to global leaders for st ronger action on climate change.

Recently at COP26, Selina spoke at the Real World Leaders on Climate session. She shared her poem entitled I Grew, Giant that points to the devastating issues of nuclear testing conducted by the US government in the Marshall Islands and spoke about new concerns related to climate change rising seas.
