The Warner Grand Theatre Renovation is Underway!
The Theatre’s $18 million renovation is a reality! The construction groundbreaking took place on December 16, 2024, and the City’s chosen contractor, 2H Construction (a company based in Signal Hill), began work the next day. The project is expected to take two years. According to the City of LA’s Bureau of Engineering, as of April 2025, the renovation is on time, on budget and 15% complete. Grand Vision Foundation is deeply grateful to the City of Los Angeles for undertaking this important civic project and to the Department of Cultural Affairs for its stewardship.
Priorities for the Renovation Include:
- A new main lobby elevator and a stage lift
- Major plumbing and restroom upgrades with ADA accessibility and more restrooms in the lower lobby
- Historic paint restoration throughout the lobbies
- A new gathering space adjacent to the mezzanine lobby
- HVAC, electrical, and Fire Life Safety system upgrades
- Stylish new main lobby concession stands
- An upgraded IT network and security system
- Historically influenced carpeting in the lobbies
