Textile art piece of the Warner Grand Theatre marquee made from the original fabric from the theatre seatsArtist Ellen November is making eight original textile art pieces available for sale to support Grand Vision! You can participate in this online auction which begins today and ends on December 24, 2024.

These one-of-a-kind pieces highlight beloved San Pedro landmarks, including the Korean Friendship Bell, the Vincent Thomas Bridge, the Angel Lighthouse, the Pacific Electric car, and of course, the Warner Grand Theater ticket booth and the Warner Grand marquee. The latter two were created from fabric used to reupholster the theater seats at the Warner Grand.

Ellen, formerly of the South Bay, received formal art training at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA with a degree in Illustration. Her work focuses on landmarks, reflecting both cartography and architectural features. Quilting combines her many creative skills, portraying illustration and photography through fabric and soft materials. Her work can be seen at ellennovember.com.
