Grand Vision’s Meet the Music education program had its fair share of pandemic-related challenges over the past year. Our amazing staff took many changes in stride, and pivoted quickly to provide virtual “distance learning” programs that helped keep kids engaged in school. After a year of working remotely, our teaching artists are back in the classroom this year making music with students! Today’s challenges won’t get in the way of Meet the Music’s mission of providing a high-quality music education for all.

Fundraising has been difficult this past year as well. Grand Vision would not have been able to offer Meet the Music to local elementary schools without the continued support of our dedicated and visionary funders. Two new organizations who stepped in this year with grants that helped us provide ongoing music education to over 1600 students in the L.A. Harbor area were The Music Man Foundation and Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts. These funds supported teaching artist salaries, students’ musical instruments and needed classroom supplies. We’re truly honored to have the partnership and support of these local foundations who are improving children’s lives through music. Together, we are making a difference!
