Meet Abby Morey, Grand Vision’s new Marketing Intern. Abby comes to us through the LA County Department of Arts & Culture Internship program.* Abby has spent the summer helping to prepare the fall season of concerts at the Grand Annex by researching and writing about artists, creating e-newsletter content, editing web pages, and making sure the South Bay hears about all that the Grand Annex has in store. As she continues her time at Grand Vision, she hopes to learn more about marketing and event production. She is looking forward to seeing her behind-the-scenes work come to life this fall as artists take the stage.
This past spring, Abby graduated from El Camino College with an AA for Transfer in Communication Studies and will be attending CSU, Long Beach in the fall to continue her studies. While at El Camino, Abby excelled on the Forensics, or speech and debate team, competing in four different events across Southern California. At the 2025 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament held in Norfolk, Virginia, Abby was named the top Impromptu Speaker, triumphing over 106 other students from 37 colleges.
Abby is also an avid concert-goer and a great fan of the historic Warner Grand Theatre. She’s thrilled to be a part of the San Pedro arts community. In her free time, she loves to cross-stitch and crochet, catch up on current events for her next debate round and play games with her family.
* The LA County Arts Internship provides internships for undergraduate students at nonprofit arts, social justice and service organizations. Since 2000, the program has provided students with meaningful on-the-job training and experience working in the nonprofit sector.
