Grand Vision Foundation has been awarded a Music in Action grant by the Live Music Society, whose mission is to recognize and protect small venues so that live music remains accessible to all. Music in Action will allow Grand Vision to launch an exciting new mini-concert series, called โFresh Folkโ in 2025.
The โFresh Folkโ concerts, which will be held at the Grand Annex Music Hall, mark a significant milestone in Grand Visionโs journey to foster inclusivity, engage our community, and forge meaningful connections through music. โFresh Folkโ will showcase diverse singer-songwriters, emerging talents, and underrepresented voices performing in the round. The resources from Music in Action will help the Grand Annex connect with diverse talent, reach new audiences, and introduce current fans to new voices.
The Grand Annex, operated by Grand Vision, has been a cornerstone of the San Pedro arts scene since its first concert series in 2009. Over the years, the venue has cultivated a loyal audience drawn to the eclectic lineup of Americana, jazz, rock, and roots music presented there. As the Grand Annex celebrates its 15th Anniversary in 2024, โwe are grateful to the Live Music Society for providing resources to help us expand our programming and build a sustainable audience base for the next 15 years,โ says Executive Director, Liz Johnson.
With the steadfast support of the Live Music Society, Grand Vision eagerly anticipates welcoming new performers and music lovers of all backgrounds to experience live music at the Grand Annex.
Thank you to the Live Music Society for this meaningful support!
