Grand Vision Foundation is known for hosting talented musicians on our stage โ€” but we also have some on our very own staff!

This Saturday, one of our Teaching Artists and Team Taiko instructor Yeeman โ€œManManโ€ Mui will perform with their Taiko ensemble group Mujo Dream Flight at FandangObon, a festival that brings together music and dance from Mexico, Japan, Nigeria and New Guinea. ManMan teaches recorder and percussion in our Meet the Music programs and is a founding member of Mujo Dream Flight, which highlights trans/non-binary artists and their journeys with identity and belonging. Support ManMan and Mujo Dream Flight at FandangObon tomorrow, October 5, 2024, from 3-6 PM at the Japanese American National Museum Plaza.

Nicholas MillerStill Believe Nicholas Miller, another of our Teaching Artists, is a gospel musician and producer. He just released a hopeful contemporary gospel track, โ€œStill Believe.โ€ Last month, he also released the EP Along the Way on top of teaching three of our MTM programs: Recorders, Roots of Music (RoMP) and Percussion. Listen to โ€œStill Believeโ€ on YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music.

Our Development and Advancement officer Joselyn Wilkinson teams up with her husband to form the folk-rock duo, Joselyn and Don. Their first new song in two years, โ€œChoose Loveโ€ features Grand Annex favorite Chris Pierce. Joselyn and Don were recently featured on Wildwood Flower Radio Hour on KXLU and are in the process of recording a new album. Listen to โ€œChoose Loveโ€ on YouTubeย or Spotify.

Grand Vision is so proud of our staff musicians and is thrilled to support them in their musical careers!
