We are pleased to announce that Grand Vision Foundation has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support the ongoing Roots & Rambles concert series at the Grand Annex Music Hall as part of their 2023 Grants for Arts Projects awards. This season showcases the folk a capella group Honey Whiskey Trio, a multi-faceted event Blurring the Color Line with Taiko and a Hawaiian guitar performance by Patrick Landeza & Sons.

Roots & Rambles is a three-concert series featuring musicians dedicated to the preservation, artistry and evolution of folk and traditional music in the United States. Each concert includes a workshop highlighting an aspect of the performerโs craft.
February 25: Honey Whiskey Trio – 10 Year Anniversary Concert
Workshop: โBody Percussion & Shape Notes. โ Sparkling a cappella harmonies, ballads and rowdy tunes with guitar, banjo and more from these Harmony Sweepstakes champions.
February 26: Blurring the Color Line with Taiko
Why are Asian communities and cultures so often seen as perpetually foreign? Engage with this timely and important question through a taiko performance, hands-on taiko workshop, documentary screening and panel discussion.
May 20: Patrick Landeza & Sons
Workshop: โSlack Key & Steel.โ Celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander month with Hawaiian-Grammy winning slack key guitar player Patrick Landeza with steel guitar sensation, Justin Firmeza.
