GVF replaced the (non-original) main stage drape with a more technically useful curtain that is able to open at the center and move up and down.
GVF Board President Fred Allen worked with L.A. stage curtain maker Dazian Fabrics to produce a new drape with a beautiful shimmer which matched the historic swag decorating the proscenium directly above. Grand Vision purchased the drape and traveller track for $11,000. Mr. Allen, whose background is in theater tech, led the volunteers from Beacon House in removing the old drape and hanging the new one. “We are once again grateful to Grand Vision for providing the funds as well as the expertise for this project,” enthused theater manager, Lee Sweet.
