Come play with us!<\/p>\n<p>Taiko is a Japanese traditional drumming practice that, over the last several decades, has become a global phenomenon. Since 2013, Grand Vision has partnered with leading taiko instructors to bring the art form to the South Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Taiko Artist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yeemanmui.com\/bio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Man Man Mui<\/a>\u00a0guides participants toward a repertoire of drumming techniques and patterns. Sessions include developing rhythmic sensibility, body awareness, breath and strength training as students make music together as a team.<\/p>\n<p>Team Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities, from beginners to seasoned musicians. Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up, children must either participate with a guardian or have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grandvision.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Team-Taiko-Child-Waiver.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">participation waiver<\/a> signed before class.<\/p>\n<p>Classes are offered in person and streamed live via Zoom to allow for all to participate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Spring Session Mondays at 7 PM March &#8211; May<\/h3>\n<p>Team Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions, with a different pattern taught during each session. Team Taiko can be purchased by session or by class.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, March 25 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, April 1 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, April 8 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, April 15 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, April 22 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, April 29 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, May 6 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<li>Monday, May 13 \u2013 7 PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Class Fees &amp; Sliding Scale:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Taiko is designed to be $15 per person, but we don&#8217;t want economic circumstances to be a barrier to attending so we offer tickets on a sliding scale. Pay the price that works for you. Your class experience will be the same regardless of which option you choose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">To Attend in Person:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please bring water and wear comfortable clothes.
