DESCRIPTION:South Bay Wind Ensemble in Collaboration with Grand Vision present\nFrankenstein Alive in Concert \nSouth Bay Wind Ensemble is thrilled to begin our 2023/2024 season with “Frankenstein: Alive in Concert” on October 28. The classic 1931 film has sound and dialog\, but no music. So now\, South Bay Winds are providing the music with a 2002 score by composer Michael Shapiro. \nWe are also featuring another 1931 classic—the Warner Grand Theatre itself! Both “Frankenstein” and the Warner Grand were introduced to Los Angeles in 1931. And we celebrate that history with a medley of Warner Bros. movie favorites from the 1930s to today\, with a special slideshow highlighting the history of the Warner Grand\, provided by Grand Vision Foundation! \nTickets are on sale now. DESCRIPTION:The inaugural concert of the South Bay Wind Ensemble will feature works by Leonard Bernstein\, Morten Lauridsen\, Alfred Reed\, and culminates in the epic Symphony Number 8 by David Maslanka. The concert will take place January 28\, 2023 at 7PM\, with a pre-concert lecture for VIP Experience ticket holders.
