Flamenco is a folk art form that originated in the Andalusia region of southern Spain\, and the Romani\, a migratory people\, played a major role in its history and development. Family traditions still form the core of the Roma culture. \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nAs an art form created by wandering peoples through a fusion of various music and rhythms\, it resonates with a diverse range of people\, bringing familiarity\, nostalgia\, and melancholy; in 2010\, it was included in UNESCO’s list of Spain’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. \nWe are honored to be able to present this wonderful culture to you on stage through the art of flamenco\, an art we feel passionately about. Team Taiko can be purchased by session or by class. \nTeam Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians. Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up\, children must either participate with a guardian or have a participation waiver signed before class. \nClasses are offered in person and streamed live via Zoom to allow for all to participate. \nSpring Session Mondays at 6:30 PM May 4 – June 22: \nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session.
