SUMMARY:"From Classical to Pop" Strings Chamber Ensemble Series
DESCRIPTION:Concertmaster Shura Sasaki leads the ensemble in performing well-known classical pieces and pop songs in a string quartet. The classical pieces include the complete Haydn Quartet No. 53 (Lark)\, Op. 64. No. 5 and works from Mozart and Beethoven. DESCRIPTION:Play the Japanese Drum with Team Taiko!\nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session. Team Taiko can be purchased by session or by class. \nTeam Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians. Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up\, children must either participate with a guardian or have a participation waiver signed before class. \nClasses are offered in person and streamed live via Zoom to allow for all to participate. \nSpring Session Mondays at 6:30 PM May 4 – June 22: \nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session. You will be met at the door by Shag actors and welcomed into their tiki cocktail party. \nLet’s Shag! \nThe one and only SHAG himself will be at every show of this murder mystery musical set at a Tupperware party! “Shag with a Twist” serves up an evocative cocktail of vibrant music and performers that brings to life the art of Shag when pupu platters and bouffants were all the rage. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their finest tiki\, pin-up girl style or 60s Mod attire and join the party. \nThis event is produced by Shag with a Twist Productions.
