SUMMARY:TEAM TAIKO Drum Classes Spring Session
DESCRIPTION:Play the Japanese Drum with Team Taiko!\nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session. Team Taiko can be purchased by session or by class. \nTeam Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians. Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up\, children must either participate with a guardian or have a participation waiver signed before class. \nClasses are offered in person and streamed live via Zoom to allow for all to participate. \nSpring Session Mondays at 6:30 PM May 4 – June 22: \nTeam Taiko classes are broken into 8-week sessions\, with a different pattern taught during each session. Team Taiko can be purchased by session or by class. \n\nMonday\, May 4 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, May 11 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, May 18 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, May 25 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, June 1 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, June 8 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, June 15 – 6:30 PM\nMonday\, June 22 – 6:30 PM\n\nAbout Class Fees & Sliding Scale: \n\nTeam Taiko is designed to be $15 per person\, so we can pay our teacher a fair wage.\nAttending at the higher price supports subsidized attendees and supports Team Taiko.\nWe don’t want economic circumstances to be a barrier to attending so we offer tickets on a sliding scale and additional scholarships as needed.\nPay the price that works for you.\nYour class experience will be the same regardless of which option you choose.\n\nTo Attend In Person: \n\nPlease bring water and wear comfortable clothes. DESCRIPTION:Musicians & Poets!\n\nCome on down to the Grand Annex on the second Thursday of each month for Open Mic Night!\n\nHosted by: Ken Creighton\n\nTo perform:\n\nSign ups start at 6:30 PM.\nThe first 12 sign-ups are guaranteed to perform\, with additional artists as time allows.\nPlan to do 2 songs/poems (limit stage time to under 8 minutes).\nMicrophones\, D.I.\, music stand and a keyboard are available. If you will be performing with a backing track\, you can use the aux cord to connect your smartphone to the sound system. The Aux cord is compatible with Apple devices that use a lightning connector.\nThis is an all-ages show; all ages and genres are welcome to perform.\n\nTo keep the space welcoming for all ages\, please keep your act appropriate for all ages. Avoid rants\, blue comedy and punching down. Inappropriate acts will be removed from the stage and banned from future performances.
