SUMMARY:Mikaela Kai FlamencoSPAIN Sueño de Libertad
DESCRIPTION:Mikaela Kai Flamenco’s 16th Recital \nSPAIN – Sueño de Libertad \nDon’t miss the outstanding performance of native Barcelona flamenco artists\, Paco Arroyo and Yolanda Arroyo. Paco’s virtuoso playing guitar and Yolanda’s heart-moving dancing\, singing and transcendental technique in castanets will surely fascinate all audiences with a standing ovation. Three talented local flamenco dancers and MKF’s dancers and musicians will also be featured in the show. \nThis year’s theme is “Spain.” Flamenco is a folk art form that originated in the Andalusia region of southern Spain\, and the Romani\, a migratory people\, played a major role in its history and development. As an art form created by wandering peoples through a fusion of various music and rhythms\, it resonates with a diverse range of people\, bringing familiarity\, nostalgia and melancholy; in 2010\, it was included in UNESCO’s list of Spain’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. MKF is honored to be able to present this wonderful culture on stage through the art of flamenco\, an art they feel passionately about. Enjoy a wide range of flamenco performances\, from brilliant dances with castanets\, fans and mantons\, which are typical flamenco accessories\, to cante and guitar performances! Immerse yourself in the passion of flamenco and free your spirit at this recital. \n  \n\n\n\n\nArtistic Director: Mikaela Kai\nSpecial Guest Artists: Paco Arroyo\, Yolanda Arroyo\nGuest Artists: Maribel Aja\, Corina Del Sol\, Ron Wagner(Percussion)\nMFK Dancers: Yoko Shibata\, Yumi Fujimoto\, Yoshikuni Okita\, Laura Gonzales\, Takanori Takeshita\, Amalia Rios\, Pilar Rios\nMFK Musicians: Klee Ando\, Takanori Takeshita\nContact: mikaelakaiflamenco@gmail.com or 310-874-3363\nTickets are also available at Mikaela Kai Flamenco Studio 16418 South Western Ave. Unit A\, Gardena CA 90247 (Call 310-874-3363 before your visit). \nThis event is produced by Mikaela Kai Flamenco.
