SUMMARY:Team TaikoJapanese Drum Lessons
DESCRIPTION:We believe in creating unique opportunities for people to meet their neighbors and engage in their community in a new way. Come play with us! \nTaiko is a Japanese traditional drumming practice that\, over the last several decades\, has become a global phenomenon. Since 2013\, Grand Vision has partnered with leading taiko instructors to bring the art form to the South Bay. \nTaiko Artist Man Man Mui guides participants toward a repertoire of drumming techniques and patterns. Sessions include developing rhythmic sensibility\, body awareness\, breath and strength training as students make music together as a team. \nTeam Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians\, and fees are on a sliding scale. DESCRIPTION:Musicians & Poets!\n\nCome on down to the Grand Annex on the second Thursday of each month for Open Mic Night!\n\nTo perform:\n\nSign up at 6:30pm. The first 12 sign-ups are guaranteed to perform\, with additional artists as time allows.\nPlan to do 2 songs/poems (limit stage time to under 8 minutes).\nThis is an all ages show\, all ages and genres are welcome to perform.\nTo keep the space welcoming for all ages; please keep your act clean and appropriate for all ages. Avoid rants\, blue comedy and punching down.\nMicrophones\, D.I. and keyboard available. You can use the aux cord to connect your smartphone if you will be performing with a backing track. The Aux cord is compatible with apple devices that use a lighting connector.\n\n\n\nInappropriate acts will be removed from the stage and banned from future performances.\n\nCover $5 cash\, $6.25 card.
