On LA Maritime Institute’s stunning Tall Ships\, no less! \nHis experience as a captain filtered into his music. After learning traditional sea shanties while hoisting sails\, he began incorporating them into his performances… and over time\, he merged them with his love of Celtic musical textures and bluegrass. \n“I’d like to think I’m reinventing the sea shanty\,” Kraus boldly said. \nCome and hear for yourself & celebrate St. Paddy’s Day at the Grand Annex. \nSPECIAL TIMES: Sea Shanty Sing-along 7-7:45pm / Beer Tasting 7:45pm / Concert 8:30pm\nAs part of the Roots and Rambles series\, enjoy a pre-concert All About Sea Shanties sing-along with Captain John and Beer Tasting by San Pedro Brewing Company. \nBeer Tasting $16 add-on or free for members Friend level and above. \nCovid-19 Safety at the Grand Annex\nFor everyone’s safety and health\, and in compliance with City of LA protocols\, face masks are required for all unvaccinated attendees ages 2+ during all events.
