Prints\, cards and merchandise will be for sale. Refreshments will be provided. \nAbout the Artist \nCorita Kent\, also known as Sister Mary Corita\, was an artist with an innovative approach to design and education. By the 1960s\, her vibrant serigraphs were drawing international acclaim. Corita’s work reflected her concerns about poverty\, racism and war\, and her messages of peace and social justice. \nPictured: to be as cordial (1966) serigraph by Corita Kent \nTranscribed Text\nthere is so much coldness because we do not dare to be as cordial as we are\njust as the wave cannot exist for itself but must always participate in the swell of the ocean so we can never experience our lives by ourselves but must always share the experiencing of life that takes place all around us.\nA. DESCRIPTION:Homegrown Collective wraps up this concert series after the San Pedro Pride Flag Raising on Saturday\, June 7. Dance to original songs and upbeat favorites from the ‘80s through the present. The march and flag-raising celebration\, presented by Bridge Cities Alliance\, starts at 11 AM.
