SUMMARY:Team TaikoJapanese Drum Lessons
DESCRIPTION:Summer Classes: June 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\, July 11\, 18\, 25\nFall Classes: Sept 12\, 19\, 26\, Oct 3\, 17\, 24 \nTeam Taiko is Grand Vision Foundation’s signature community music-making program. We believe in creating unique opportunities for people to meet their neighbors and engage in their community in a new way. Classes are open to all skill levels\, from beginners to seasoned musicians\, and fees are on a sliding scale. Taiko Artist Man Man Mui guides participants toward a repertoire of Japanese drumming techniques and patterns. Sessions include developing rhythmic sensibility\, body awareness\, breath and strength training as students make music together as a team. \nClasses are offered in-person and streamed live via zoom. \n\nTo attend in person:\nFor everyone’s safety and health\, we will continue to require face masks during Taiko and all attendees need to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination\, a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours\, or a negative rapid test taken within 24 hours. \n
