DESCRIPTION:Students can apply by submitting a completed form to Christa@grandvision.org by Monday\, April 6.\nThe sign-up form is available here: RotarySanPedro.org/page/pageant-of-the-arts \nThe Pageant of the Arts High School Scholarship Competition will take place on Wednesday\, April 8\, 2026\, from 5 to 8 PM at the Grand Annex Music Hall in San Pedro. \nThis competition is open to high school students in the following categories: \n\nVisual Art (theme: “Doing Good in the World”)\nMusic – Instrumental\nMusic – Vocal\n(Music performances are limited to 6 minutes; basic sound equipment is provided.)\n\nSound equipment: Microphones\, D.I.\, music stand and a keyboard are available. If you will be performing with a backing track\, you can use the aux cord to connect your smartphone to the sound system. The Aux cord is compatible with Apple devices that use a lightning connector or devices that use a USBC connector. \nWhy encourage your students to apply? \n\nCash prizes in each category:\n\n1st Place: $500\n2nd Place: $300\n3rd Place: $150\n\n\nFirst-place winners advance to district finals on May 2\, 2026\, with the chance to win up to $1\,000.\nA chance to perform or present work in a supportive\, community-centered setting\n\nStudents can apply by submitting a completed form to Christa@grandvision.org by Monday\, April 6.\nThe sign-up form is available here: RotarySanPedro.org/page/pageant-of-the-arts
