DESCRIPTION:We believe in creating unique opportunities for people to meet their neighbors and engage in their community in a new way. Come play with us! \nTaiko is a Japanese traditional drumming practice that\, over the last several decades\, has become a global phenomenon. Since 2013\, Grand Vision has partnered with leading taiko instructors to bring the art form to the South Bay. \nTaiko Artist Man Man Mui guides participants toward a repertoire of drumming techniques and patterns. Sessions include developing rhythmic sensibility\, body awareness\, breath and strength training as students make music together as a team. \nTeam Taiko is open to all skill levels and abilities\, from beginners to seasoned musicians\, and fees are on a sliding scale. Formed by Irish Native singer/guitarist Marian Tomas Griffin and ace fiddler/composer Chris Murphy\, the group combines an unbridled passion for performance. Known for their overwhelmingly fun and engrossing folk shows the two principals are joined by drums\, bass\, accordion\, and lead guitar to create a compelling celtic rock sound. \nLyons Academy of Irish Dance will open the show. \n🍺Pre-Concert Beer Tastings: 7-7:30PM\, led by San Pedro Brew Co. and require an additional ticket. Wine tastings are $16 or free for members at the Friend\, Committee of $200\, VIP Circle\, Premium\, and Angel levels.
