DESCRIPTION:Applications will open soon! Once applications open\, students can apply by submitting a completed form to Christa@grandvision.org\nThe sign-up form will be available here: RotarySanPedro.org/page/pageant-of-the-arts \nThe Pageant of the Arts High School Scholarship Competition will take place on Wednesday\, March 10\, 2027\, from 5 to 8 PM at the Grand Annex Music Hall in San Pedro. \nThis competition is open to high school students in the following categories: \n\nVisual Art in 2D and 3D (theme: to be announced soon)\nMusic – Instrumental\nMusic – Vocal\nDance\nSpeech (theme: to be announced soon)\n\nMusic and Speech contestants are limited to a maximum of 6 minutes. \nDance contestants are limited to a maximum of 3 minutes. You may perform to a backing track or live accompaniment. \nSound equipment: Microphones\, D.I.\, music stand and a keyboard are available. If you will be performing with a backing track\, you can use the aux cord to connect your smartphone to the sound system. The Aux cord is compatible with Apple devices that use a lightning connector or devices that use a USBC connector. \nWhy encourage your students to apply? \n\nCash prizes in each category.\nFirst-place winners advance to district finals\, with the chance to win up to $1\,000. The First Place in each contest receives a $1\,000 cash prize; Second Place $500; and Third Place $250.\nA chance to perform or present work in a supportive\, community-centered setting\n\n  \nParents\, family and friends are welcome to attend. \nConcessions available. \nhttps://rotary5280.org/page/pageant-of-the-arts
